Then Solatorobo came in with a bit more darker themes of the world having a mysterious past, but all the characters and visual style of the game allowed it to still feel silly and vibrant. Then came Fuga, where the series basically became like every single anime I've ever not watched. The entire Tail Bronx series started out as a family-friendly adventure. Even in my first playthrough I was already getting tired of the monotonous slog.Īnother gripe I had with the game (which is probably the biggest reason I'm upset about this turning into a trilogy.) is the serious nature of the game. Not to mention, I guess I messed up my playthrough so I was told by the game to play through the ENTIRE thing again to get the best ending. I don't wanna sound rude or anything, but Fuga was already frustrating enough to deal with as it was really repetitive and there was too much time between each 1-minute cutscene. It would lead to such a more interesting series than just. Like, imagine what the world would be like for the characters after knowing everything they are told. There was SO MUCH they could have done with all the 500 tons of lore they drop on you at the very end of the game, but instead they just tell it all to you and then the game just ends. I loved the characters, setting, simplistic mechanics but insanely heavy story, etc etc. Why make a trilogy of this series? I personally found Solatorobo to be a way more interesting entry in the series. I first heard a few months ago that fuga was going to be a trilogy, and despite there being no proof for such a claim, I was immediately disappointed.
